    In Cecil Sharp and his assistant Maud Karpeles came to Pine Mountain Settlement School for a visit. Only five years since the founding of the School, the visit was one of the most important events to occur at the School. The time at Pine Mountain has been memorialized in many accounts, most notably in that of Cecil Sharp, himself.
