I want you to know this love that surpasses knowledge. I want you to be filled with all the fullness of God. That is what I am praying for Ephesians I want to draw your attention to the fact that throughout the Bible, God uses the analogy of marriage to describe his relationship with his people.
The book of Revelation takes up this theme. The great marriage of Christ and his bride is the moment of joy to which we are pointed:.
For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready. Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. Revelation In addition to this, two entire books of the Bible are devoted to showing the love of God through the analogy of marriage in the Old Testament.
The first is the Song of Solomon, which portrays the joy of love. Solomon is in love with a beautiful woman. He comes to claim her as his bride. Why is the Song of Solomon in the Bible? One reason is that it teaches us about love and marriage. Here is the relationship God has with you in Jesus Christ. If you know what it is to find joy in loving another person with great intensity you have a glimpse into the heart of God. Hosea portrays the pain of love. Hosea was a godly man. He walked with God.
He was a prophet. But his wife, whose name was Gomer, was not a godly woman. Gomer left Hosea and threw herself into a lifestyle that nearly destroyed her. After the procession is over and the rings are handed off to the best man, the children's work is done, and they can be seated with their parents. Have fun with the children's accessories by incorporating fabric signs and banners, ribbon wands, and other sweet ideas like blow bubbles.
Creative ideas always garner "awws" from the guests as the children walk down the aisle. The Father of the Bride and the Bride: The bride's father traditionally escorts their daughter down the aisle, standing to the bride's right.
After the father of the bride " gives them away ," they lift the veil and kiss the bride, signifying their blessing, then takes their seat beside the bride's mother. The Grandparents of the Bride: The bride's grandparents walk down the aisle first. Once they reach the front, they are then seated in the first row, on the right side. In Jewish ceremonies, the bride's family and guests sit on the right and the groom's family and friends sit on the left.
The Grandparents of the Groom : The groom's grandparents will follow. Once they, too, reach the front, they sit in the front row on the left side. Jewish weddings involve more family members than other ceremonies with the inclusion of both parties' grandparents. The Groomsmen : The groomsmen walk down the aisle in pairs starting with those standing farthest from the groom.
The Best Man: During the processional, the best man walks solo after the groomsmen and takes their place as the right-hand man of the groom. Emily Kotarski Bridal - 4. Home Team BBQ - 4.

The bride and groom both show up but half way through the ceremony one or the other gets cold feet and runs. You know, the Runaway Bride or groom syndrome. The police or, worse yet, the FBI and a SWAT team arrives at the church and arrests, the bride or the groom in the middle of the ceremony, taking them away in all the shoddy pomp and circumstance of handcuffs and shackles.
